Zupper

A mobile experience to change the way thousands of customers all over Brazil book airline tickets, accommodations, and travel packages.

MDN joined the technology team at Zupper to create a new mobile app that will allow thousands of users to have an intuitive journey in searching for airline tickets, booking accommodations, a simple and optimized checkout flow, as well as managing their orders in a centralized and easy-to-view manner.

Challenge

With the aim of providing an experience that replicated the user's purchasing experience through the website, but that brought a completely revamped and modern visual presentation, Zupper needed a mobile application that would engage users through a personalized browsing experience and centralize all business aspects in one place, strengthening the business revenue strategy.

Solution

With the premises and objectives defined for the project, we designed the entire Design System of the project based on Atomic Design, the "Zupper UI" for the scalability of the design team and efficiency in reusing components and interface elements. 

We also designed the entire app journey based on intelligent and contextual recommendation logic for the user. At the beginning of the journey, we introduced a customized onboarding process to understand the traveler's profile, as well as preferred destinations, travel frequency, among other points.

We applied a tabs concept for switching between searches for Flights, Accommodations, and Packages, with just a few clicks from the search results page.

We also brought a completely innovative and original experience for viewing results for multi-destination tickets.

Finally, we also expanded the concept of searching for and purchasing travel packages, with a recommendation logic and also an intuitive and quick flow for defining tickets and accommodations.

Impact

With the new interface, users now have simplified and centralized access to all travel options, which significantly increased engagement and customer satisfaction.

The recommendation logic and the intuitive flow of searching for and purchasing travel packages contribute to an increase in bookings and a strengthening of the business revenue strategy.
