We designed the largest inspection solution for transport companies in Brazil, supporting the reduction of road accidents by up to 22%.

MDN, together with the client's marketing and product team, led the UX/UI Design process of the client's web platform, completely remodeling the browsing experience of transport operators for managing the inspection process and monitoring drivers and shippers.

Challenge

Our challenge consisted of creating a product with an extremely high level of complexity, featuring very specific business rules from the client, and without the help of market benchmarks, as it was an innovative and disruptive product.

The platform's goal was to make the driver management process easy and intuitive for platform operators and managers, simplifying the nature of the business in a web application that allowed activities to be executed in a streamlined manner.

Solution

We designed a web platform that centralized all the routine processes of a transport operator and manager, bringing a clean, easy-to-use interface that enables users to find menus instantly. We introduced a home screen with customized shortcuts to further facilitate use with the most frequently used features for the operator.

Additionally, we created an easy initial onboarding flow to serve as a user guide and support them in the journey of understanding the product, walking through the main areas and screens of their routine. Through an expandable sidebar, we allowed users to make better use of space for their tasks, along with specific filters for each feature, aiding usability.

Impact

The inspection platform developed by MDN for Onisys had a significant impact on the transport sector in Brazil. With the new solution, it was possible to reduce road accidents by up to 22%, providing a safer environment for everyone.

The redesigned and centralized interface allowed for simplified and intuitive management for transport operators and managers, which resulted in a substantial increase in operational efficiency and user satisfaction.

The platform not only contributed to reducing accidents but also facilitated the growth of Onisys's customer base, promoting a safer and better-managed society.

This success culminated in a million-dollar exit, with the sale of Onisys to NSTech, demonstrating the value and relevance of the solution in the market. The platform became a milestone of innovation and excellence, standing out as an essential tool for transport management and road safety.
