We designed the largest inspection solution for carriers in Brazil, supporting a reduction in accidents on the roads by up to 22%.

MDN, together with the client's marketing and product team, led the UX/UI Design process of the client's web platform, completely remodeling the navigation experience for carrier operators in managing the inspection and monitoring process of drivers and shippers.

Challenge

Our challenge was to create a product with a very high degree of complexity, which included very specific business rules of the client, and without the aid of market benchmarks, as it is an innovative and disruptive product.

The goal of the platform was to make the management process of drivers easy and intuitive for the platform operators and managers, simplifying the nature of the business in a web application that allowed activities to be carried out in a simplified manner.

Solution

We designed a web platform that centralized all the processes of a carrier operator's and manager's routine, providing a clean interface that is easy to handle and allows users to find menus immediately. We introduced a homepage with personalized shortcuts to further facilitate usage with the most utilized functionalities for the operator.

In addition, we created an initial facilitated onboarding flow to serve as a user guide and support them in the journey of understanding the product, covering the main areas and screens in their routine. We allowed, through an expandable sidebar, greater utilization of space for the user in their tasks, along with specific filters for each functionality to assist in its use.

Impact

The inspection platform developed by MDN for Onisys had a significant impact on the transportation sector in Brazil. With the new solution, it was possible to reduce accidents on the roads by up to 22%, providing a safer environment for everyone.

The redesigned and centralized interface allowed for simplified and intuitive management for operators and managers of carriers, resulting in a substantial increase in operational efficiency and user satisfaction.

The platform not only contributed to the reduction of accidents but also facilitated the growth of Onisys's customer base, promoting a safer and better-managed society.

This success culminated in a million-dollar exit, with the sale of Onisys to NSTech, demonstrating the value and relevance of the solution in the market. The platform became a benchmark of innovation and excellence, standing out as an essential tool for the management of carriers and road safety.
