We designed the largest inspection solution for carriers in Brazil, supporting the reduction of road accidents by up to 22%.

MDN, together with the client's marketing and product team, led the UX/UI Design process of the client's web platform, completely remodeling the navigation experience of carrier operators to manage the inspection and monitoring process of drivers and shippers.

Challenge

Our challenge was to create a product with a very high degree of complexity, in which there are very particular business rules for the client, and without the aid of market benchmarks, as it is an innovative and disruptive product. The purpose of the platform was to make the driver management process easy and intuitive for platform operators and managers, uncomplicating the nature of the business in a web application that allowed activities to be carried out in a simplified manner.

Solution

We designed a web platform that centralized all the routine processes of a carrier operator and manager, providing a clean, easy-to-handle interface that allows the user to find the menus immediately. We brought a home screen with personalized shortcuts to make it even easier to use with the most commonly used features for the operator. In addition, we created a simplified initial onboarding flow to serve as a user guide and support them on the journey of understanding the product, going through the main areas and screens in their routine. Through an expansive sidebar, we allow greater use of space for the user in their tasks, in addition to specific filters for each functionality, helping with its use.

Impact

The surveillance platform developed by MDN for Onisys had a significant impact on the transportation sector in Brazil. With the new solution, it was possible to reduce road accidents by up to 22%, providing a safer environment for everyone.

The redesigned and centralized interface allowed for simplified and intuitive management for carrier operators and managers, which resulted in a substantial increase in operational efficiency and user satisfaction. The platform not only contributed to the reduction of accidents, but also facilitated the growth of the Onisys customer base, promoting a safer and better managed society.

This success culminated in a million-dollar exit, with the sale of Onisys to NSTech, demonstrating the value and relevance of the solution in the market. The platform became a milestone of innovation and excellence, standing out as an essential tool for carrier management and road safety.
